Booking Terms and Conditions

Important: The Terms and Conditions on this page are for Standard, Race Week and Festive Season bookings. These terms and conditions do not apply to Sale or Special Offer bookings which will be advised at the time of booking and in your booking confirmation email. Please be sure to read and understand the terms and conditions relevant to your dates and rate.

Standard Booking Conditions

Excludes Race Week and Festive Season.
Includes Conference buy-ins.

If you have booked prior to 28th March 2020, please see below your Terms and Conditions:

Deposit

  • 20% of the total booking value is required at the time of booking.
  • This deposit is refundable up until 14 days prior to travel.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking if travel is within 7 days of arrival date.
  • Credit card fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%.

Final Payment

  • The balance of your accommodation must be paid no later than 7 days prior to your arrival.
  • The payment will be processed on the nominated credit card provided at the time of booking.
  • To pre-pay your final payment via an alternative method, please contact Hamilton Island Holidays on 1800 370 811.
  • Credit card fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%.

Cancellation

  • Cancellations and amendments received outside of 14 days will not incur a cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations and amendments received within 14-8 days of arrival will be subject to a cancellation fee of 20% of the total booking value.
  • Cancellations and amendments received within 7 days of arrival, ‘No Shows’ and/or ‘Early Departures’ will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking value.
  • Notice of any cancellation, amendment or reduction in reserved rooms must be provided in writing to Hamilton Island Holidays on vacations@hamiltonisland.com.au

COVID-19 booking conditions

If you have paid your final balance while borders are closed - if borders are still closed over your travel dates, the above Deposit, Final Payment and Cancellation policies will apply. If you have paid your final balance while borders are open – if there is a sudden border closure after your final balance payment, we will amend your travel dates without penalty for the same property. If you cancel your booking before the Cancellation date your booking deposit will be refunded or credited toward your amended dates for the same property. If you have tested positive to COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to travel or are in self-isolation within 7 days of travel, we will amend your travel dates without penalty (written documentation is required) for the same property. Credit card fees are non-refundable.

Deposit

  • A non-refundable deposit equivalent to 50% of the total booking value is required at the time of booking.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking if booked within 45 days of travel.
  • Credit card fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%.

Final Payment

  • The balance of your accommodation must be paid no later than 45 days prior to your arrival.
  • The payment will be processed on the nominated credit card provided at the time of booking.
  • To pre-pay your final payment via an alternative method, please contact Hamilton Island Holidays on 1800 370 811.
  • Credit card fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%.

  • Cancellations and amendments received within 45 days of arrival, ‘No Shows’ and/or ‘Early Departures’ will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking value.
  • Notice of any cancellation, amendment or reduction in reserved rooms must be provided in writing to Hamilton Island Holidays on vacations@hamiltonisland.com.au

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking if booked after 31 October.
  • Credit card fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%. 

Final Payment

  • The balance of your accommodation must be paid no later than 31 October.
  • The payment will be processed on the nominated credit card provided at the time of booking.
  • To pre-pay your final payment via an alternative method, please contact Hamilton Island Holidays on 1800 370 811.
  • Credit card fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%.

Cancellation

  • Cancellations and amendments received on or prior to 31 October will incur a 20% cancellation fee.
  • Any cancellations and amendments received from 1 November inclusive, no shows and/or early departures will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking value.
  • Notice of any cancellation, amendment or reduction in reserved rooms must be provided in writing to Hamilton Island Holidays on vacations@hamiltonisland.com.au
