The terms and conditions outlined below apply when booking a Hamilton Island Holiday Homes Standard or Festive Season rate direct with Hamilton Island Holidays. There are other special rates and packages that have different terms based on specific travel dates and varying conditions, that are not outlined below. At the time of booking, you will be required to read, understand and accept the terms and conditions specific to your rate or package before it is confirmed and prior to payment. These terms and conditions will be presented to you via our direct booking channels including the Hamilton Island website and online booking engine, via email or over the phone with a Hamilton Island Reservation Specialist. COVID-19 Booking Conditions

Flexible Booking Policy in the event of COVID-19 illness
If you have booked direct with Hamilton Island, and you become unwell with COVID-19 within 7 days prior to your arrival date, we will change your dates with no penalty right up until your arrival date. If you have booked through a travel agent, online travel agent such as Expedia or independent accommodation provider you will need to get in contact with them directly as they may have different terms and conditions.  

If you need to change your travel dates for the above reasons, please call our Reservations team on 137 333 between 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Fridays or 9.00am – 3.00pm Saturdays. Please note: For Holiday Homes, any change to travel dates must be for the same property. Please note that written documentation of illness will need to be provided as evidence.

Reservations held in credit
If you need to change your travel dates due to illness or border restrictions, you can do so without penalty. You have two options:

  • If you know the exact dates you’d like to book, we can reserve those dates at time of rebooking (subject to availability)
  • If you don’t know the exact dates you’d like to rebook, we can hold your deposit for up to 12 months for Hamilton Island Holiday Homes (dates can be changed for the same property only) or for up to three years for any of our Hamilton Island Hotels.

Please note, that whilst no penalty applies to change your booking, the price of your amended dates will be quoted on the best available rates when you secure your new reservation dates.

Standard Booking Conditions(Excludes Race Week and Festive Season. Includes Conference buy-ins.)

Standard Deposit(excludes Festive Season)

  • A deposit equivalent to 20% of the total booking value is required at time of booking
  • This deposit is refundable up until 28 days prior to arrival date
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking if travel is within 21 days of arrival date
  • Credit/debit card transaction fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%

Standard Final Balance(excludes Festive Season)

  • The final balance payment of your accommodation is required no later than 21 days prior to arrival date
  • Final balance payments are automatically processed on the nominated credit card provided at the time of booking
  • Final balance payments not received by 21 days prior to arrival date may result in cancellation of the reservation
  • To pre-pay your final balance via an alternative method, please contact Hamilton Island Holidays on 1800 370 811
  • Credit/debit card transaction fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%

Standard Cancellation and Amendments(excludes Festive Season)

  • Cancellations and amendments received outside 28 days of arrival date will not incur a cancellation fee
  • Cancellations and amendments received within 28-21 days of arrival date will be subject to a cancellation fee of 20% of the total booking value
  • Cancellations and amendments received within 21 days of arrival date, ‘No Shows’ and/or ‘Early Departures’ will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking value
  • Notice of any cancellation, amendment or reduction in reserved rooms must be provided in writing to Hamilton Island Holidays on vacations@hamiltonisland.com.au
  • If you have booked through a travel agent or Online Travel Agent, please contact them directly to make changes to your booking
  • Credit/debit card transaction fees apply and are non-refundable

Stay 7, Pay 6 Booking Conditions

  • If you’ve booked 7 nights or more on applicable travel dates* you will receive the 7th night free
  • All nights must be booked in the same Holiday Home for the whole duration of the stay 
  • All nights must fall within the offer's travel validity dates to receive the 7th night free 
  • For stays which cross over Year Round and Peak Season travel dates, each night will be priced at the applicable season's rate
  • Extra nights may be added at the applicable nightly rate
  • Maximum one (1) free night per booking
  • Not available in conjunction with any other offer

*Applicable travel dates are: 17 July - 18 August 2022, 28 August - 15 September 2022, 9 October - 20 December 2022, 26 January - 31 March 2023.

Race Week Terms and Conditions(20 – 27 August 2022 inclusive)

Deposit

  • A non-refundable deposit equivalent to 50% of the total booking value is required at the time of booking
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking if booked within 45 days of arrival date
  • Credit/debit card transaction fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%

Final Balance

  • The final balance payment of your accommodation must be paid no later than 45 days prior to your arrival date
  • The final balance payment will be automatically processed on the nominated credit card provided at the time of booking
  • Final balance payments not received by 45 days prior to arrival date may result in cancellation of the reservation
  • To pre-pay your final balance via an alternative method, please contact Hamilton Island Holidays on 1800 370 811
  • Credit/debit card transaction fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%

Cancellations and Amendments

  • Cancellations and amendments received outside of 45 days of arrival date will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking value
  • Cancellations and amendments received within 45 days of arrival date, ‘No Shows’ and/or ‘Early Departures’ will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking value
  • Notice of any cancellation, amendment or reduction in reserved rooms must be provided in writing to Hamilton Island Holidays on vacations@hamiltonisland.com.au
  • Credit/debit card transaction fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%

Festive Season Terms and Conditions

Festive Season Deposit(bookings incorporating 21 December 2022 – 7 January 2023 and 21 December 2023 – 7 January 2024 inclusive)

  • A non-refundable deposit equivalent to 20% of the total booking value is required at the time of booking
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking if booked after 31 October*
  • Credit/debit card transaction fees apply and are non-refundable – AMEX 3%, Visa 1.25% and Mastercard 1.25%

Festive Season Final Balance(bookings incorporating 21 December 2022 – 7 January 2023 and 21 December 2023 – 7 January 2024 inclusive)

  • The final balance payment of your accommodation is required by 31 October*
  • The final balance payment will be automatically processed on 31 October* on the nominated credit card provided at the time of booking
  • Final balance payments not received by 31 October may result in cancellation of the reservation
  • To pre-pay your final payment via an alternative method, please contact Hamilton Island Holidays on 1800 370 811

Festive Season Cancellation and Amendments(bookings incorporating 21 December 2022 – 7 January 2023 and 21 December 2023 – 7 January 2024 inclusive)

  • Cancellations and amendments received on or prior to 31 October* will be subject to a cancellation fee of 20% of the total booking value
  • Cancellations and amendments received from 1 November* onwards will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking value, including ‘No Shows’ and/or ‘Early Departures’ 
  • Notice of any cancellation, amendment or reduction in reserved rooms must be provided in writing to Hamilton Island Holidays on vacations@hamiltonisland.com.au
  • If you have booked through a travel agent or Online Travel Agent, please contact them directly to make changes to your booking

Purchasers and guests are subject to these Terms and Conditions and consent to the use of their personal information in accordance with Hamilton Island Enterprises Privacy Policy.
